Matthew J. Young

Matt joined FDAR in 2023. His practice focuses on insurance defense litigation. By the time he joined FDAR, Matt already had a diverse legal career. No matter what area of law Matt has practiced, his focus is always on putting clients first. His legal career began before he ever started law school with internship at the Antitrust Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s office that began during undergrad and lasted into law school. After graduating law school, he spent several years practicing oil and gas law where helped an oil and gas client grow from a less than 100-acre footprint to becoming the second largest driller in Ohio. In his products liability practice, he worked on the largest multi-district litigation in American history.

Outside of the firm, Matt enjoys building furniture, renovating his home, cooking, sewing, and anything else that allows him to work with his hands.
