Doug joined the firm as a partner in 2021. He has more than twenty-five years of experience defending individuals and business clients in complex legal matters. His business clients range from single-owner entities to multi-million dollar, multi-state companies. He handles cases filed in state and federal courts, as well as before American Arbitration Association (AAA) panels. Doug also serves as an arbitrator for an national arbitration organization. Doug’s practice focuses primarily on construction defect and catastrophic injury cases. Through his dedication and professionalism, Doug has earned the Martindale-Hubbell “A-V” peer-rated designation, which signifies a legal ability that is “very high to preeminent” and an ethical reputation that is “very high.” He has also been selected to Super Lawyers® annually since 2019 and Best Lawyers® in 2024 and 2025.
On the Personal Side
Doug and his wife Lynda have lived in New Albany for more than twenty years. They have four children, three of whom have graduated from New Albany High School. Doug and Lynda are supporters of various local charitable and nonprofit organizations. In his free time, Doug enjoys traveling, reading, exercising and boating with family and friends.
